COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Coaches can impact a gymnast’s sense of self by teaching and reacting in a positive manner in all aspects of training. Being positive means reacting to situations in a positive way. It involves a conscious effort to make the gymnast feel good about what they have done, and will be able to do in the future. It is not only about not being negative, but also about not being indifferent. It means making a difference every chance possible! Being positive means being aware of: actions, words, facial expressions, tone of voice along with the spoken words. It is not always easy but the extra effort will be worth it.
